There’s an empty spot in a hammock today
Someone we’ve loved not coming out to play
But the days of playing they dwindled to a few
And Momma’s voice is all they knew
They’ve gone over the moon and beyond the stars
Our tears follow them to where they are
They are mending and adding on wings
While we remain here handling things
No time to grieve and wallow here
There are also others that we hold dear
They need us too and as we sigh
We are honored to be the last to cry and kiss them goodbye….
